Volunteer

Why volunteer with ALCES?

People have a wide array of motivations for volunteering including serving a worthy cause, networking, gaining skills and experience, among others. At the same time, nonprofit organizations like ALCES benefit greatly from the cost effective contributions of volunteers.

In order to run all of its programs, ALCES depends on the support of dozens of volunteers on a weekly basis who fulfill various roles, such as classroom assistants in our ESOL, GED Preparation, Spanish and Citizenship classes; administrative work; marketing and promotions; and more. Our relationships with our volunteers are not one-sided, but rather mutually beneficial.
